non-profit corporation operating and governed by the laws of the State of Maryland exclusively for developmental, charitable, and educational purposes.

Our specific and primary purposes are to raise the economic, business, educational and social levels for the community at large.

Fostering and promoting community-wide interest and concern for the problems existing among this population will lessen poverty, crime, sickness, and human degradation.

Peachtree Foundation’s Community Development Programs deliver a compassionate, integrated approach to advancing equity, opportunity, and sustainable growth in underserved communities. Through four core initiatives—Shades of Us, Performing Arts Collaborative Group, Real Estate Literacy, and Youth Mentoring—the Foundation addresses the emotional, cultural, educational, and economic factors that shape long-term success.

Our trauma-informed Shades of Us Program centers mental health, wellness, and leadership development for young women of color, nurturing resilience, identity, and confidence. The Performing Arts Collaborative Group, affiliated with the DC Alliance for the GMWA Alliance, uplifts artists through creative expression, cultural preservation, and professional opportunity. Real Estate Literacy equips individuals and families with the knowledge to pursue homeownership and financial stability, while Youth Mentoring provides guidance, accountability, and positive role models for emerging leaders.

Together, these programs create pathways for healing, empowerment, and generational change—strengthening communities locally while contributing to regional collaboration and global cultural impact.
