Empowering Young Women of Color

ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

The Shades of Us Program is a transformative, equity-driven initiative dedicated to empowering young women of color by cultivating a supportive, inclusive, and trauma-informed environment where they can thrive.

Our mission is to advance leadership, education, and personal development through intentional programming that reflects the lived experiences, strengths, and aspirations of the young women we serve.

Through a holistic, evidence-based approach, participants receive mentorship, leadership training, and educational enrichment that foster self-confidence, resilience, and long-term capacity for success. Interactive workshops, networking forums, and personalized coaching are designed to strengthen life skills, enhance academic performance, and promote career readiness—preparing participants to lead with purpose and impact.

The program also provides a safe platform for storytelling, cultural celebration, and community connection, amplifying voices that have historically been underrepresented while nurturing pride, identity, and unity.

By equipping young women of color with the tools, resources, and networks to succeed, the Shades of Us Program directly contributes to social equity, community empowerment, and generational change, ensuring every participant is positioned to rise as a confident, influential leader in her community and beyond.

Effective Ways to Give Back

to the Community

Mentor and Support: Offer your expertise and time by becoming a mentor. Sharing your knowledge and experiences can significantly impact the growth and success of young women of color.

Donate and Fundraise: Contribute financially to support programs like Shades of Us. Organize fundraising events to help sustain and expand the reach of community initiatives
