Performing Arts Collaborative Group
The Performing Arts Collaborative Group is dedicated to empowering artists, cultural innovators, and performing arts practitioners from diverse communities by offering capacity-building initiatives, professional development, and equitable access to opportunities within the creative economy.
Anchored in the belief that artistic expression catalyzes cultural identity, community transformation, and social impact, our program operates as a dynamic platform where creative voices are uplifted and amplified.
As an affiliate of the DC Alliance for the GMWA Alliance—connected to the legacy of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA), an internationally recognized nonprofit organization committed to education, collaboration, and excellence in sacred and performing arts—we extend opportunities for artistic growth, intergenerational mentorship, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
The GMWA’s mission, centered on preserving heritage and advancing artistic excellence through education and performance, informs our program’s framework for fostering artist development and community engagement.
Through skill-development workshops, curated exhibitions, and live performances, participants gain professional exposure, strengthen their creative capacity, and contribute to the cultural and economic vitality of their communities.

Our initiatives cultivate artistic proficiency, encourage innovation, and promote sustainable careers in performance, music, dance, theater, and related creative fields.
Our program champions diversity, equity, and inclusion in the arts, promoting cross-cultural understanding and celebrating the broad spectrum of artistic expression that defines our shared human experience.
By investing in creativity and cultural preservation, we aim to inspire innovation, foster community cohesion, and build a more vibrant, inclusive society where every creative voice is valued, supported, and empowered.
